On the August 6th, the topping-out ceremony of the new Block D was held, marking a new chapter for CRCHK. During the ceremony, Chairman Mr. Edmund Ho, Vice-Chairman Mr. Kenneth Lam, Honorary Treasurer Mr. Bernard So, Steering committee Deputy Conveners Mr. Paul Tsui and Mr. Jeremy Pong, committee member Dr. Hsin Pang, Gigi Che-Kwan, Mr. Ross Chan, Mr. Philip Mok, Mr. Richard Tao, and Mr. Michael Cheng, along with steering committee member Mr. Lawrence Lee, Mr. Stephen Chan, Mr. KH Wong, Mr. Patrick Hou and CRC General Manager Mr. Vincent Leung, all came together to symbolically complete the topping-out of the new Block D by placing soil with a golden shovel, signifying the collaboration in successfully reaching this milestone in the Block D redevelopment project.

The redevelopment project of Block D has been ongoing since early 2022, spanning over two years. Despite facing various challenges such as decanting, diversion, building dismantling, and foundation works, the successful topping-out of the new Block D is a testament to the collective efforts of the GC, Steering Committee, and engineering teams. Their dedication and hard work have ensured the project progressed steadily, adhering to the planned timeline and budget. With the official topping-out of the new Block D, it signifies the commencement of the final phase of the redevelopment project. The new Block D is expected to be completed by the end of next year, marking a significant milestone for the CRC as it moves towards a new chapter. The new Block D will also provide high-quality recreational facilities for the members.
