Corporate Social Responsibility
The core idea of CRC’s sustainable development policy is to create long-term value for the society and stakeholders through promoting sports development. The Club actively contributes to the community, organizing and collaborating with the social welfare sector to organize charity activities, fostering social cohesion. In terms of environmental protection, we are committed to promoting energy conservation, emissions reduction, waste reduction at the source, and building a better environment. In governance and decision-making, we handle our affairs with high transparency and a responsible attitude, integrating sustainable development into our daily operations.
We are honored to have been awarded the “The Social Capital Builder Award” by the The Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, as well as the “Caring Company Logo” by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, in recognition of our efforts in promoting volunteer work, caring for the community, and contributing to social capital.
Community Outreach
- We open our facility to eligible outside bodies for recreation, training, and competition to promote the development of local sports in line with the government’s sports promotion policy.
- We organize the annual CRC Open, a highly anticipated tennis tournament in Hong Kong that is recognized by the Hong Kong Tennis Association as one of the three major local scoring tournaments, promoting sports in the community, supporting elite sports, promoting Hong Kong as a centre for major international sports events, enhancing professionalism and developing sports as an industry.
- We also have the Elite Athlete Program that identifies potential players and provides them with training facilities. Most of our elite players are members of the Hong Kong team and represent Hong Kong in international tennis competitions.
- Our volunteer team regularly visits and collaborates with charitable organizations to care for the community and serve those in need.
- We also raise funds for charity through the annual CRC Open tournament.
- We support talent development by partnering with different universities every year to provide internships for college students.
Environmental Protection
- we are committed to conserving natural resources. We have planted and maintained several trees over half a century old within our facility, and we have commissioned qualified arborists to ensure the safety and health of the trees.
- We also take various environmental protection measures to promote sustainable development, such as using soy ink and FSC-certified paper for printing to reduce environmental impact, solar water heaters and LED lighting facilities to save energy and reduce carbon emissions, encouraging online registration to reduce paper waste, and using eco-friendly materials for takeaway boxes and bags in our restaurant.
- We have implemented waste reduction and recycling practices, such as recycling aluminium cans, plastics, and waste paper, and recycling tennis balls, old books, rackets, red envelopes, etc.
Governance
- Our General Committee sets policies and oversees policy implementation, and we have multiple sub-committees and dedicated teams to supervise different operational and development projects.
- Our club general manager is responsible for daily operations and administrative management. We prioritize providing quality services and invest in staff training to cultivate knowledge and improve service quality, skills, and service levels. We value teamwork and cohesion and strengthen daily communication and regular review to ensure smooth club operations.

Before the Chinese New Year, the CRC volunteer team participated in the “LST Buddy Chinese New Year Community Visit Activity”. We visited elderly residents at Tung Tau Estate, and distributed New Year pudding and festive goodies, offering the warmest holiday blessings to the community, wishing everyone good health and smooth sailing in all endeavors!
The CRC staff volunteer team engaged in community service by partnering with The HKHS “Caring Engaging Smart” to participate in the community caring event. CRC volunteers distributed Christmas gifts to the elderly in need, spreading warmth, blessings, and celebrating Christmas with the community.
The CRC OPEN also represents a chance to show how much the CRC cares for the community. This year, we are continuing our partnership with The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon and Operation Santa Claus, donating HK$250 for every ace hit during main draw matches officiated by chair umpires to these two charity partners in support of the underprivileged. This year’s matches recorded a total of 183 ACEs, raising a total of HKD 45,750.
We are pleased to announce that CRC has been successfully included in the “Partner Employer Award 2024” program under the “Excellent Enterprises” category, recognizing our active commitment to corporate social responsibility. The ‘”Partner Employer Award” program aims to commend institutions that assist individuals with different needs in society, such as young graduates, retraining participants, retirees, and ethnic minorities, by providing employment opportunities and actively fulfilling corporate social responsibility.
As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, the CRC staff volunteer team engaged in community service by participating in the Mid-Autumn Festival community caring event organized by The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon, last Saturday. CRC volunteers, together with nearly 500 volunteers from other organizations, distributed mooncakes to the elderly and families in need, spreading warmth and blessings, and celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with the community.
CRC volunteer team delivered mooncakes to the Tai Hang Residents’ Welfare Association before the Mid-Autumn Festival, hoping to convey feelings of care and love, so that the elderly and families in need in the Tai Hang district can feel the warmth and care of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The “Triathlon Fun Day” organized by the Triathlon Association of Hong Kong China was successfully held on July 30 and August 12 at CRC. Despite the rainy weather, participants overcame the challenges that highlighted the resilience required in triathlon competitions. Everyone gave their best to experience the consecutive events in swimming, cycling, and running, shaping their determination!
CRC has always actively cooperated with the CSTB in implementing the open-up scheme for the EOBs, to enhance accessibility for the community and to support the development of sports in Hong Kong. In response to the LCSD’s “Sports for All Day 2024”, we opened 6 tennis courts and 2 squash courts to the public on August 3rd and 4th (Saturday and Sunday), free of charge.
CRC has always been committed to opening facilities to EOBs to cultivate sports talents. In celebration of the Olympics, we provided our tennis courts to the InspiringHK Sports Foundation for their “Breaking New Ground” tennis experience program to provide free professional tennis coaching to students. We are delighted to have Ms. Tong Ka-po, former Hong Kong tennis representative, present at the event to provide guidance and share experiences.
CRC repeatedly provided the multi-purpose court to Po Leung Kuk’s Children Section for their participation in a soccer training program. It was instructed by volunteer soccer coaches who taught the children soccer skills while cultivating their interest in the sport. We hope that through this activity, they can encourage the children to develop a passion for sporting interests from a young age, contributing to their overall healthier development.
The CRC Volunteer Team visited the Tai Hang Residents’ Welfare Association to deliver rice dumplings filled with love to the elderly in the area, spreading festive blessings and filling this Dragon Boat Festival with love and joy.
The CRC Volunteer Team set out to Lai Tak Tsuen to deliver festive rice dumplings. We express our gratitude to the elderly volunteers who always join in volunteer service in the community. Their compassionate care is deeply admirable. The CRC volunteers personally handed the rice dumplings to each elderly volunteer, sharing the joy of the festival.
The CRC Volunteer Team actively participated in the “LST Buddy – Dragon Boat Festival Volunteer Event”, organized by The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon. Alongside nearly 200 volunteers from various organizations, we visited the homes of the elderlies and underprivileged families last Saturday to distribute festive gift packs. In total, all volunteers delivered over 1,460 gift packs to elderlies and underprivileged families, spreading holiday blessings.

The Lai See recycling campaign for this year has successfully concluded on March 5. We would like to express our gratitude to everyone for actively supporting environmental conservation. The collected Lai See will be handed over to environmental organizations for recycling and proper disposal.
Sustainable development is a big trend, and CRC is honored to have been recognized by the “ESG Pledge Scheme” organized by the Chinese Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Brand Development Council. Joining the “ESG Pledge Scheme” supports our efforts in ESG, but also demonstrates our commitment to the practices of sustainable development. We will continue to uphold the concept of ESG and work together to create a sustainable future for Hong Kong.
Before the Lunar New Year, the CRC Volunteer Team participated in the “LST Buddy Chinese New Year Community Visit Activity” organized by the Lok Sin Tong. We visited elderly residents in Tung Tau Estate and presented them with heartfelt gifts such as New Year cakes and festive food, hoping to bring warmth to elders in need, and wish everyone a happy new year and good health!
CRC Volunteer Team coordinated an effort to bring joy and the warmest holiday blessings to the Tai Hang community by delivering New Year cakes to the Tai Hang Residents’ Welfare Association. Wishing everyone a happy Year of the Dragon, full of vitality and good health.
We are honored to participate in the “All You Knit is Love 2023-24” volunteer program organized by the Bauhinia Association. Through the efforts of CRC volunteers, the donated yarn has been woven into scarves, bringing warmth to the elderly during the winter. The CRC volunteers have shown great enthusiasm and support for this initiative, and the CRC volunteer team made a special visit to the St. James’ Settlement Wun Sha Elderly Centre to present the scarves personally crafted by our volunteers, expressing our care for the community.
In celebration of Christmas, our CRC staff volunteer team and the Hong Kong Housing Society jointly organized the “Spreading Christmas Cheer in Lai Tak” Christmas party. We interacted with the elderlies of the Lai Tak Tsuen, played booth games, created Christmas crafts together, and distributed gift bags, all to enjoy a joyful festive afternoon.
This year, the CRC OPEN once again joined hands with The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society Kowloon and Operation Santa Claus for a special charity initiative at the CRC OPEN. For every ace hit during a main draw match officiated by a chair umpire, the CRC pledged to donate HK$250 to the tournament’s charity partners. A total of 150 aces were served this year, meaning HK$37,500 will be donated to the underprivileged.

On the occasion of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, CRC staff volunteers participated in the Lok Sin Tong Mid-Autumn community caring event. We distributed mooncakes and festive food gift bags to elderly residents living alone in Tung Tau Estate and underprivileged families, expressing our care and love.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is coming, the CRC staff volunteers donated mooncakes to the Tai Hang Residents’ Welfare Association. We hope that through this act of kindness, we can bring warmth and care to the elderly in need and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival together.
As a sports club dedicated to promoting tennis and emphasizing social responsibility, we place great importance on environmental recycling efforts. We sincerely appreciate the support of our members and coaches in the “AFTERLIFE” tennis recycling program, which converts more used tennis balls into alternative fuel and reduces carbon footprint. CRC has collected over 25,000 used tennis balls, making us the private sports club with the highest number of collected used tennis balls!
We would like to express our gratitude to the Hong Kong Economic Times (HKET) and Ming Pao for visiting our club in early August to conduct interviews and report on the objectives of the program. Through these reports, we hope to raise awareness in HK. We will also continue to support this project and hope to participate in more eco-friendly initiatives in the future, aiming to achieve sustainable development goals.

Before the Dragon Boat Festival on June 15, the CRC Volunteer Team visited elderly residents in Lai Tak Tsuen, delivering love and blessings with rice dumplings to make them feel the support and care from the community.
CRC co-organised the “Cheerful Heart Visiting Day” with the Hong Kong Housing Authority to support the ” Jockey Club Elders Get Active Fitness Campaign ” to promote sports in the community. The CRC volunteers visited elderly residents in Lai Tak Tsuen and distributed sports equipment to encourage them to exercise at home to keep their body healthy. CRC will continue to organise volunteer activities in collaboration with the social welfare organisations to provide support and help to people in need.
This year’s “Enough Plastic,” with the theme “You Always Have a Way,” continues to raise awareness and reduce the use of disposable plastics in Hong Kong. From May 15th to May 30th, CRC restaurants will provide environmentally friendly take-out boxes paper straws, and paper bags instead of plastic items. We also call on our members, guests, and employees to avoid using disposable plastic products and work together to reduce waste at the source, contributing to the Earth.
In order to create a healthy and dynamic work environment, CRC set up a special employee exercise workshop for two days. The aim is to promote the concept of exercising during work hours so that everyone can exercise and maintain physical and mental health while at work. Our fitness coach taught simple stretching exercises on-site, in order to help relax tense muscles.
We have replaced the “AFTERLIFE” Tennis Ball Recycling Program collection box with brand new ones! Over the past year, CRC has successfully collected over 20,000 tennis balls. This program has received recognition and funding from the Environmental Protection Department and Recycling Fund, as the used tennis balls will be transformed into “Rubber Derived Fuels”, reducing our carbon footprint, and promoting sustainable development. We would like to express our thanks for your continued support, let us make a positive impact for our planet!
The CRC volunteer team joined with two fitness coaches again, went to Lai Tak Tsuen to teach the elderly simple stretching exercises and towel workouts, helping them to properly exercise their muscles. We encourage participants to continue practicing at home to not only maintain their health but also increase their enjoyment of life! CRC will continue to cooperate with the Hong Kong Housing Society to hold more volunteer events, caring for the health of the elderly and providing more support to the community.
On April 11th, CRC and The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council jointly held a “CRC Sports Fun Day” to promote sports to different levels of the community, allowing ethnic minority families to enjoy the fun of sports. We would like to thank our members and enthusiastic supporters who donated used tennis rackets, which made it easier for us to co-organize a tennis experience class with a social welfare organization.
On that day, the participants learned the basic skills and rules of tennis. With the guidance of the coaches, the participants made progress quickly, and some children even showed outstanding talent in tennis. Both adults and children had a great time during the event and experienced the joy of sports.
We will continue to promote the popularization of sports and encourage people to participate in these healthy and fun activities.

CRC Volunteer Team partnered with Hong Kong Housing Society to hold a Christmas Party for elderly residents at Tai Hang Lai Tak Tsuen during the Christmas period, giving away fortune bags and bringing love and care to the community, offering spirit and warmth to seniors in need. We hope this volunteer event and donations can continue to help support the physical and mental well-being of the elderly!

Our association actively promotes environmental protection. In response to some of our facilities being affected by construction work, we decided to donate surplus tables and chairs to Yat Heung Center Primary School, implementing sustainable development concepts and giving back to society.
To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, the CRC staff volunteer team donated moon cakes to the Tai Hang Residents’ Welfare Association, offering spirit and warmth to seniors.
Besides holding the well-known “National Intangible Cultural Heritage” fire dragon dance activity, Tai Hang Residents’ Welfare Association also provides various types of support to the elderly in need.
In addition, the Tai Hang Youth Centre organizes various recreational and sports activities for the youngsters. To support their training and promotes sports development, CRC regularly provides free sports venues to some of these activities.
“Lok Sin Tong Territory-wide Flag Day 2022”
The flag day event was held online, and volunteers invited friends and family to donate, demonstrating the spirit of CRC Volunteer Team serving the community, supporting vulnerable groups in society, and winning the third place for the highest corporate fundraising award.
In mid-April, the CRC Volunteer Team once again delivered epidemic prevention and daily necessities to the Hong Kong Single Parent Association. It was aimed at caring for the community, actively providing epidemic support for the community, and building a harmonious and beautiful community together.
In view of the severe local epidemic situation and the continuous increase in new cases, the CRC Volunteer Team, adhering to the goal of “police and public working together to fight the epidemic,” donated RAT kits to Wan Chai Police District, hoping to provide additional protection for frontline unites to fight the epidemic.
To assist in community epidemic prevention, the CRC Volunteer Team donated RAT tests to Tai Hang elderly through Tai Hang Residents’ Welfare Association.
“Lai See Recycling and Reuse Campaign 2022”
The CRC encouraged members to collect Lai See from the previous year for free. The team sorted and filtered the collected Lai See and handed them over to Greeners Action for processing and transforming them into “Recycled Lai See,” which were saved for the next Lunar New Year for the public to collect for free.
“Everything English Book Drive”
The English book recycling program collected a satisfactory amount of books, totaling 13 boxes. The CRC Volunteer Team helped with packing and disinfection, allowing students in need to have more opportunities to read English books during the epidemic and improve their English proficiency.
“Lai Tak Tsuen Christmas Care Visits”
The CRC Volunteer Team visited Lai Tak Tsuen during the Christmas Eve period, delivering gift packages to single and elderly households, and bringing care to the community.
CRC in collaboration with Operation Santa Claus to co-organized sports classes for ethnic minority youth with an NGO Open Sesame. We provided free lunch, sports facilities, coaches, and CRC Volunteer Team assistance, offering Hong Kong’s ethnic minority youth opportunities to learn tennis and table tennis.
CRC provided sports facilities free of charge for the Hong Kong Sports Association for the Mentally Handicapped.
The Tai Hang Youth Center organized a Tai Hang Youth Festival event – Emerging Sports Experience (Floor Curling). Our association lent the squash room free of charge as the venue for the event. The participating children were very engaged, learning the rules and experiencing the fun of floor curling.
CRC provides sports venues free of charge to HKTTA’s “Children’s Derby Table Tennis Competition”. Young seedlings of suitable age compete in internal competitions within each district, with the top participants from each district advancing to the “Seedling Wild Card Qualifiers” held by HKTTA, battling for table tennis wild card qualifications.
The CRC Volunteer Team participated in a community care event organized by Lok Sin Tong on January 23, 2021, to distribute love gift bags to low-income single and elderly households in Hung Hom Ka Wai Chuen. The team showed care and love for vulnerable groups and celebrated the Chinese New Year with the elderly, bringing holiday blessings.
During Christmas 2020, the CRC Volunteer Team distributed love gift bags to the elderly in Tai Hang Lai Tak Tsuen, delivering the warmest holiday blessings to the community.
To assist in community epidemic prevention, CRC Volunteer Team distributed free face masks to the elderly in Tai Hang through Tai Hang Residents’ Welfare Association. All Tai Hang elderly aged 60 and above can receive 5 free face masks. In the face of a severe mask shortage, we hope to make a small contribution to help the elderly fight the epidemic.
At the beginning of the summer vacation, CRC volunteer team brought fruits and gifts to the elderly in Lai Tak Tsuen to visit and share care and happiness with them.
From May 14th to 30th, CRC responded to the “Plastic-Free Day” environmental protection event organized by the Hong Kong New Youth Energy Think Tank Charitable Foundation and ECO DRIVE HONG KONG. The restaurants inside CRC used paper straws instead of plastic straws, and also encouraged members to avoid disposable products in order to reduce waste at the source.
Once again, at the “Food Angel” kitchen in Chai Wan, our CRC staff formed a production line and were responsible for preparing ingredients such as fried chicken, ginger, and white rice, putting the meals into boxes, and sorting the cleaned lunch boxes. Along with other staff, we made over a thousand lunch boxes for grassroots and people in need in the hot kitchen.
CRC staff and members went to the “Food Angel” Sham Shui Po Community Center to help serve food and clean the dining hall after meals. They worked together with other staff members to serve over a hundred seniors and grassroots individuals.
CRC staff went to the Chi Wan kitchen of the “Food Angel” organization and formed one of the production lines to produce more than a thousand lunch boxes to be distributed to those in need.
